The Appraisal Inspection
The following is what to expect when the appraiser arrives to perform the “Appraisal Inspection” of your property; · Observations, measurements and photographs are taken of the exterior of the house and property. · The exterior of the house, garage(s) and any additional buildings are viewed, physically measured and drawn to a sketch. (Any additional buildings such as garages, barns, outbuildings, sheds etc must be accessible to their interiors for viewing). · The interior of the house is observed with room layout noted on the appraiser’s sketch. All rooms are observed and photographed and must be fully accessible. · A brief consultation regarding information of the property and/or it’s history, characteristics, etc. Your questions or concerns can be addressed. The following items are greatly appreciated for the appraisal appointment; · A property survey for the appraiser to view. (If available). · Homeowner Association information and dues (if applicable). · It is appreciated that family pets especially larger dogs be kept inside the home while the appraiser is performing the exterior measurements and observations around the home, then let outside while the interior is being observed.
